The beautiful Hop Barn is licensed for christenings. It's a warm and characterful space with oak beams, twinkling fairy lights and a large, private terrace and landscaped garden that looks out across the water. It’s perfect for intimate or larger gatherings, seating 10-70 for a traditional sit-down meal or hosting up to 120 guests for relaxed grazing-style celebration. With exclusive use of the barn and gardens, you’ll have plenty of space for little ones to play and grown-ups to relax and catch up.

Our 16th-century bar and restaurant has just the right laid-back feel for a christening reception – relaxed, cosy and easygoing. You can sit down to a three-course meal for up to 22 guests, or keep things more casual with a grazing-style spread for up to 50. There’s a well-stocked bar for the grown-ups, an outdoor play area for the little ones, and plenty of space to catch up, raise a glass and enjoy some unhurried time together celebrating the new addition to your life!

A Ferry House hog roast never fails to make a statement, using only the highest quality Kentish pork and cooked to a turn by our award-winning chefs. This Authentic Kentish Pig on a Spit is served with locally baked soft white rolls, hot new potatoes, stuffing, crackling, coleslaw & Harty apple sauce, plus salad bowls. Vegan sausages are available for Vegetarians/Vegans.

You & your guests can graze your way through a generous spread of cheeseboards with crackers, meats & platters, fruit & chutneys, filled sub rolls & other salad & savoury items, with children’s sandwiches also available on request. Using much of our homemade, homegrown and family-farmed produce, the grazing table is sure to be a talking point of your celebrations.
