Our large Kitchen Garden is the heart of our 2AA Rosette restaurant, and your event will likewise serve up fresh, home-grown produce, cropped daily. From seasonal fruits and veggies, to the herbs & botanicals infused into our cocktails and mocktails, our food & drink provenance is our greatest passion.
Our family farms are a stone’s throw from The Ferry House. From here we get our grass-grazed beef and eggs, with free range game from the Harty estate & quality Kentish meat from trusted local producers. ‘Field to Fork’ menus are topped off with the seasonal produce that we can forage from the hedgerows and shoreline.
You might be raising a glass or two at your event. On the menu are award-winning gins, vodka and whisky, made from the grain grown on our family farm and used by the local Copper Rivet Distillery to craft these fantastic, artisan spirits. They also feature in our cocktails, so you’ll have quite the choice alongside a selection of Kentish wines, beer, cider and juices.
It’s just not a celebration without food, with people coming together and making memories over a meal. At The Ferry House we apply the culinary excellence of our 2AA Rosette restaurant to the menu of your special event. You can enjoy three courses of the freshest and best seasonal produce from our Kitchen Garden and family farm, alongside our pick of the finest local Kent ingredients and drinks.
For those who want to keep the quality but without the formality of a sit down meal, there's our signature hog roast. Using only the finest authentic Kentish Pig on a Stick, the meat is slow cooked to perfection by our award-winning chefs and served with locally baked soft white rolls, hot new potatoes, stuffing, crackling, coleslaw & our Harty apple sauce, plus salad bowls. Vegan sausages are available for Vegetarians/Vegans.
This impressive Grazing Table is the ideal relaxed dining alternative to a sit down meal if you prefer to mingle during your celebrations. A generous spread includes cheeseboards with crackers, meat items & platters, fruit & chutneys, a variety of filled sub rolls & other salad & savoury plates, with children’s sandwiches also available on request.
What’s a celebration without a toast? You and your guests can enjoy your drink of choice from one of our rustically-styled drinks bars. Choose from expertly mixed cocktails and mocktails, our ‘Grain to Glass’ gin or classic favourite, Prosecco, served to you alfresco overlooking the estuary, or in your preferred event space.
I just wanted thank the whole team at The Ferry House for all your hard work on Saturday. I had an amazing time and the venue looked beautiful. All our guests commented on the lovely location and the amazing food. Please pass on our compliments to the Chef for such outstanding food, and also to all of your team for such excellent, friendly service during the evening, which made a perfect 50th birthday!
