With a beautiful country and waterfront backdrop for those all-important family photos, an Event Coordinator & catering by our 2AA Rosette restaurant, we can host a memorable celebration for your family.

CELEBRATE WITH US

Our Christening packages start from £740 & include hire of the Barn for a Sunday afternoon & food. We can accommodate over 150 guests. You are welcome to arrange a photographer, videographer, soft play or other entertainment. Accommodation in our guest rooms & cottages is also available. Available dates are often limited so please do get in touch to discuss your needs.

THE OAK BARN

Our Oak Barn is the ideal celebratory space for a relaxed and refined christening, with its gabled ceiling, warm oak tones and fairy lit, hops finish. French doors open onto a private terrace with oak gazebo and our lovingly landscaped gardens, with views of the estuary beyond. It’s the perfect backdrop for photos to treasure.

THE EVENT SUITE

If you’re looking for a larger christening or naming ceremony venue our Event Suite can comfortably seat 150 in style. Soft chiffon walls and a starlit canopy ceiling lend a dreamy vibe to the occasion, assisted by beautiful garden and estuary views from the floor-to-ceiling bi-fold windows. Opening onto a private terrace and landscaped garden, there’s plenty of space for guests to mingle, socialise and take in the occasion.

Christening Food & Drink

HOG ROAST

A Ferry House hog roast never fails to make a statement, using only the highest quality Kentish pork and cooked to a turn by our award-winning chefs. This Authentic Kentish Pig on a Spit is served with locally baked soft white rolls, hot new potatoes, stuffing, crackling, coleslaw & Harty apple sauce, plus salad bowls. Vegan sausages are available for Vegetarians/Vegans.

GRAZING TABLE

You & your guests can graze your way through a generous spread of cheeseboards with crackers, meats & platters, fruit & chutneys, filled sub rolls & other salad & savoury items, with children’s sandwiches also available on request. Using much of our homemade, homegrown and family-farmed produce, the grazing table is sure to be a talking point of your celebrations.
