2AA ROSETTE AWARDED RESTAURANT TASTE OF KENT WINNER 2018 & 2014

“The winner is Kent to its core, local everything from cider to the cows grazing in the surrounding land, served with top end personal service by staff whose knowledge of the local area was as if they were born and raised there. “Quite simply the best all round experience shouting Kent”

Amazing food, amazing views

Yet another delicious meal enjoyed in the most beautiful and tranquil setting. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Sadly, 2 of our party were unable to join us so they kindly boxed up one of their meals for us to deliver and the otter received a refund without any quibble. Highly recommend.

A well hidden gem!

It has been many years since we last visited the Isle of Sheppy but we were pleasantly surprised to see how lovely it is.
We decided to check out The Ferry House after reading some nice TripAdvisor reviews and, first impressions were good! It has lovely views overlooking Herne Bay! We asked for a table with a view and were pleased that they could accommodate us, although I would recommend booking just to be sure.
The menu is simple and really tasty ( we opted for the 3 course set menu @ £25 per head).
We both enjoyed the partridge burger which was a generous portion!
I had the Ginger cake for dessert which was tasty.
We had a really enjoyable experience and would definitely visit again 😊

A beautiful country escape with stunning walks and great food

We stayed for the weekend and were so well looked after. There's a stunning waterside walk that leads to the edge of Elmley Nature reserve which was peaceful and idyllic. Their ethos of keeping food local and excellent quality is in everything they do, down to their cosy firesides and locally sourced beers and wines. The room itself was beautiful and the staff couldn't do enough to help. We got married here a couple of years ago and the people and the place are just as wonderful as we remember.
