Welcome to our beautiful waterside barn venue, with unique views overlooking the Swale Estuary and steeped in country charm, The Ferry House could be the perfect place to hold your Kentish wedding. Set among a picture-perfect landscape of wild meadows and wetland reserves, we specialise in refined rustic barn weddings in the Kent countryside, in a secluded yet accessible location, just 60 minutes from London, with award winning menus and accommodation for up to 70 guests.

Nestled in the Kent countryside, barn weddings at The Ferry House can utilise this beautiful space for the entirety of your occasion, hosting your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. With its high vaulted ceiling, warm oak tones and a canopy of hops and fairy lights, the Hop Barn provides effortless styling with a relaxed ambience. French doors open straight onto the terrace, gazebo and gardens and reveal the beautiful panoramas overlooking the Swale Estuary.

HOP BARN WEDDING CEREMONIES

The Hop Barn has heaps of charm, with permanent hops and fairy lights, lending itself well to be styled as you wish for your ‘Pinterest-worthy’ wedding. The French doors open straight onto the terrace and gardens, as well as the Oak Gazebo where there is also the option to hold your ceremony alfresco, so you can move effortlessly from ‘I do’, to stylish celebrations with your nearest and dearest. Our Hop Barn ceremonies can seat 130 guests.

HOP BARN WEDDING RECEPTIONS

As you relax into your evening celebrations, our Hop Barn comes into its own, with the rich wood tones and twinkling lights creating a magical and celebratory ambience. Rustic, full of natural light and styleable as you wish, clink glasses as you toast the start of your married life with up to 70 of your loved ones sitting down for your wedding breakfast. Enjoy your evening in style with up to 100 guests, or alternatively, combine spaces with the adjoining Event Suite for a larger, all-out occasion for up to 250 guests, with the Spring Barn available from 2026 for up to 300 guests.
