Marsh View makes for a wonderful break away from everyday life in Harty’s country tranquillity, perched modestly overlooking the picturesque Mocketts Farm duck pond to the front, with spectacular 180-degree country vistas to the rear. This cosy and rustic cottage is decorated in relaxing neutral tones, warm woods and a colourful splash of wildlife décor. Two of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor, including one providing disabled friendly accommodation with an accessible ensuite wet room. Like all of the Mocketts cottages, Marsh View is dog friendly, so bring your pooch with you to explore the seemingly-endless landscape of Harty and run free in the enclosed garden or our large dog exercise paddock.

A hidden gem - splendid rural isolation, with vast horizons, an abundance of wildlife, and the excellent Ferry House two minutes down the road. Without a doubt this is the best spot on the Isle of Sheppey with its elevated position and well away from the holiday parks on the north coast.

Marsh View cottage is very comfortable and wheelchair friendly, with expansive views over the marshes. Marsh Harriers, Barn and Little Owls literally fly around the cottage, which is situated between two wonderful nature reserves, a haven for bird watchers. Morning chorus of Marsh Frogs thriving in the picture postcard "Constable" pond around which the cottages are grouped. Idyllic! Walks a plenty from the cottages and good for cycling too.

Mocketts is a wildlife lovers' haven, a very tranquil place, the place to stay on the island - "Sheerbliss"!

Stayed here many times before, so peaceful. Wildlife everywhere, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great for a recharge and relax, or to use as a base to explore Kent. Would recommend to everyone - but would like to keep it to myself as a beautifully quiet secret. The nearest local restaurant [The Ferry House] is 10 minutes walk away, 5 star food and all locally sourced. Me and my family will stay again.

A complete idyll less than 90mins from London. An absolute treat to wake up with incredible wildlife right outside your door. Great pub [The Ferry House] just 10mins down the road - child friendly, dog friendly, delicious food and the opportunity to sneak away for a massage!

My 50th at Mocketts Farm!

We booked the whole complex for 2 nights for my 50th birthday! There were 27 adults, 2 little ones and a dog. The accommodation exceeded our expectations! Every single cottage was immaculate and very well decorated and lovely and warm. We literally had the best time ever! I cannot find one fault with the accommodation. The booking was dealt with smoothly. Lovely people to deal with, especially when it’s a big occasion and you want everything to be perfect. Everyone had the most fantastic time, especially me! We will definitely be returning in the future. Wonderful weekend, wonderful place!
